Their array of Italian dishes, notably the homemade tiramisu and fresh carbonara, receive high praise for authenticity and flavour. The friendly and attentive staff leave a lasting impression on visitors. Additionally, many enjoy the ambience—specifically the cozy seating and pleasant music that encourage leisurely dining. The reasonable pricing and generous portion sizes also hit the mark, making it an affordable option for families and individuals alike. Regulars appreciate the special offerings, like the hot chocolate topped with marshmallows, creating a delightful experience.
Some patrons mention that the bistro can feel quite small, with service limited during busy hours, often requiring patience. A few reviews highlight occasional delays in food service, likely due to the limited staff. Parking can sometimes be tricky given the popular location, especially during peak hours. Additionally, while the atmosphere is generally praised, a handful of visitors have found the noise level a bit higher than expected during peak times, which might detract from the dining experience. Lastly, some diners wish for a bit more variety in the children’s menu, despite the current offerings being satisfactory.
This little hidden away restaurant is a great place to stop for an arrangement of dishes and drinks. It’s a small shop, so service is limited to two people- keep that in mind, as it’s not fast food. Great atmosphere, music, comfortable chairs and temperature. Food was great, slightly charred but still delicious and filling. Definitely would recommend when looking for a place in Stockport, and I would come back here.
Had a full English breakfast and it was amazing, great value for money, amazing taste and great presentation, really friendly staff and great owner 10/10 would come here again
Best soup I’ve ever had!! Cosy tucked away hidden gem. I ordered the Tomato soup and Cajun chicken ciabatta. Portion sizes were big & value for money was amazing. The staff are very friendly & kind. Will 100% be coming again. The hot chocolate with marshmallows is soooo good.
Had some spare time so we went to explore Stockport. Discovered this cafe after looking up the long flights of stairs with a set of tables and chairs in the middle. Went to check it out - the menu looked good and it was busy inside. We ordered spicy meatballs and mozzarella ciabatta with salad (£4.95), Cajun chicken fillet goujons (£7.60), regular latte (£2.40) and a pot for one tea (£2.20). Food and drink came swiftly. They were amazing both the flavours and the presentation. My husband was happy that there was a kick to the spicy meatballs and the bread with the cajun chicken was garlic bread. Whilst I loved the cheesiness of the mozzarella and the super soft ciabatta bread. Both were decent portion size at a very reasonable price. Staff (a family, I assume) were very friendly and attentive. Highly recommend this place. Their pasta looked very appealing after seeing other people having it. We'll definitely come back to try them next time. Ciao!
Tucked away near Stockport Market Hall, this Italian gem is a delightful surprise. Their authentic Italian cuisine, especially the linguine, is consistently delicious. The chef's recommendations are spot on, and the homemade tiramisu is a must-try. I've enjoyed several lunches here and can't wait to return.
My new favourite breakfast place!!! The breakfast has a bit of salad along with it and actually makes it refreshing, I like it cooked well done and crispy and it was cooked to perfection. Even the beans had a touch of fresh herbs mixed into them. It's a proper little restaurant with way more choices other than breakfast. There's lots of seating and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The coffee is good quality and perked me for the whole day. The prices are very reasonable considering the quality. Definitely worth 5 stars 🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞
Lunch date with my wife, The service was good, we were given a reasonable amount of time to view the menu before the front of house man came to take a drink order while we decided what to order. The menu is ample with small to larger meals available, ranging from breakfast to full Italian meals to choose from, the waiting staff went through the specials available soups and mains. The man serving us had a strong accent so wasn't quite sure of a few bits of what was said. No big issue though, we ordered our food which arrived after a short time, the food was well presented and very tasty I had the chicken and bacon mozzarella sandwich with side salad, and a side order of garlic and pepper chips, my wife chose the vegetable soup and had a chicken and bacon w/o mozzarella ciabatta both of us were really pleased with our food. Thank you for a nice meal in a lovely little café.
Dal Barista's homemade tiramisu tops the list as a must-try. Their linguine and fresh tagliatelle carbonara deserve attention too. If you're in the mood for something light, the Cajun chicken goujons promise a satisfying bite.
